<SUGGESTIONS> Need better garage lighting

Hey DIY'ers

I have your standard 20'x20' garage but with a high 12 foot ceiling. The builder installed 2 60watt lights but this just isn't sufficient.

Any suggestions about replacing these lights or something else to get it brighter inside my garage? I've attached a few photos so you can see what I have.

Thanks!
Dan

Hang 6 or so 4' florescent shop fixtures - surface mount florescent fixtures - recessed can lights...

What else is on the circuit with the existing two lights? You can probably reuse that circuit, switch, etc.

Painting the ceiling (and walls) white would help make it brighter also.

I was thinking about the surface mount florescent fixtures as well. Do I just disassemble the current light fixture and use the wiring, I wasn't quite sure of this part is why I posted here. I didn't want to leave some hole in the ceiling if I replace these.
