sudden power loss

Ok so heres the situation, in our condo complex we have a detached garage which is part of a bank of 4, ours is on the far right. The other day i go to use the remore control to open the garage door,it would not open, so i had to manually open the door. I found that there is no power going to the plug-in for the garage door opener but there is power going to the light switch. Any idea what would cause this and how to fix it, ty ?

Does the light in the door operator work?
Is there power to the ceiling outlet?
Where's the circuit breaker - is it tripped?
Is it a GFCI outlet at the operator - is it tripped?
Is there a GFCI outlet providing power to the operator outlet - is it tripped?

Likely the opener outlet is on a circuit shared with the other garages and a neighbor decided to run a power tool on it, thereby tripping a breaker.....just a hunch.
