Does anyone know off hand if it is against code to use an electrical box w/ a broken knockout clamp?

You are not using that hole for wiring, right? The point of the clamps is to hold wires in place. If you aren't using that hole, then I personally wouldn't worry about it. I don't know if it's against code...I doubt that's something that's even in the code.

Thank you. I don't plan on using the broken clamp. I just wasn't sure if it's bad that the broken knockout now means the box isn't sealed.

It does mean the box isn't fully sealed
I have been told you are not supposed to leave them open
But do not know of a direct code reference
