Stripping UF Cable

I've only had to do it a couple of times, and found the process quite tedious. Now, I need to do it again for a solar panel project I'm in the middle of. Any tips/tricks/tools out there to make the process easier??

Try a Romex stripper . Although , I am not sure it will work on UF ?

Id not , a utility knife with a new , sharp brade . Still going to be a pain .

God bless

Stripping UF Cable

Best bet is to use diagonal cutters to snip apart the sheath at the tip and separate the conductors - then hold one of the ends and use a utility knife to cut downward and away from your hands and body.

Thanks. I guess there's no easy way to get it done. I have a utility knife and lots of new blades, so I guess I'll just have to deal with it.

It strips better if warm. I slide a sharp razor knife blade alongside the conductors .
