thanks everyone,

I have no need to upgrade to 200A. It's not that large of a house and we use gas appliances. I have no plans for any electric heat, hot tub, etc.

All that and now you creep away. Just kidding. Actually it was a good exercise for the electricians on this forum as you can see.

I will try to get away with using art 310.15 from now on.

Ha.

Actually, I'm beginning to think I can use the existing conductors if I can raise the panel some. This should be workable since there is a coupling in the conduit. Whether or not I can get it loose is another story.
At the very least, I'll know what to run when/if this doesn't work.
