Repeated light flicker

We have been having a strange issue that maybe someone can shed some light on.

We have a ceiling fan with light that is controlled by a Hunter brand light/fan dimmer switch (looks just like this). When the light is turned on, every night at approximately 8:09pm the light will flicker for about 10 seconds, then stop. It doesn't matter how long the light has been on prior (10 minutes or 2 hours) it will still flicker. I have opened up the switch box and checked the connections - everything seems fine. But I find it very strange that the light/switch appear to have some sort of an input from a clock. How would the light/switch know to flicker every night at the same time? No other lights or outlets in the house have this behavior.

I don't want to write too long of a memo here, but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Dustin

Sounds like the tones used by the poco are affectting your dimer !
poco injects tones into the power lines to remotely turn off hot water systems.
Call Hunter and ask if they can advise a solution ?

Do you have a timer on your water heater?
Do you have a water softener that's timed to back wash at that time?
