Plastic cable ties

Is it "legal" to use use plastic cable ties to support bx cable or nm wire when you don't have room to nail them in place?

I've never had an inspector shoot it down. You have to be sure you don't over tighten then on NM though.

I concur with nap and it is supported by NEC 334.30 where cable ties are listed as a code compliant means for supporting an NM wiring method.

Those are the 'flat/bumpy' I was referring to, yup.
