panels and water heaters


How close can an electrical panel be to a water heater. Inside a garage.

As long as you can maintain the 30" width in front of the panel x 36" deep there is no restriction. The 30" does not need to be centered on the panel. It can be any combination of 30" of width, ie 0" left and 30" to the right or 15" and 15" off of center, etc.
