I recently ran new electrical line to a bathroom in my old (1919) home. In order to get the electrical to the 2nd floor bathroom I ran it in close proximity to water lines (copper/brass fittings) snaking the romex in the wall from the basement up to the 2nd floor. While there is romex in the wall, I wired 12 guage wiring in 1/2" EMT. The conduit meets the romex in a junction box and sits right next to copper pipes - in fact nearly touches these pipes. Is this a problem or a violation? I have attached a picture to illustrate this arranagement. The picture is of the J-box on the basement ceiling - you can see how close it is to the copper. Just wondering if I should move the j-box away from the plumbing - thanks in advance for any advice.
