Low voltage - Cat5? into a phonejack

I was trying to change out a standard phonejack into a mirror plated phonejack. The mirror plated jack his a place for 4 wires. The old one I am pulling out has 6 wires. The colors do not match either. The mirror plated has red, yellow, green, and black. The other has a myriad of light greens, whites, etc.

Is there a simple answer to this? Do I nix two wires? It may be a cat5e wire that I am using for the phone jack. Pretty sure it is

Don't cut off the wires you won't use they might be needed at a future time. The wires in the CAT5 are twusted in pairs and you should notice a trace colour on each of the white wires.White with blue tracer and blue goes to red and green. That should make the phone work.White with orange tracer and orange wire go to yellow and black.
