Installing new chandelier

A couple women I know came over to install my light and they did it wrong, leaving an excess of approximately two feet of excess wiring and chain so it hangs down from the ceiling to about my chest. They said not to hang the crystals on it yet because it will all fall down. Then left to go return something to home Depo two hours ago and took my light’s assembly instructions with them.

And I just now got ahold of them and totally went off on them.

So now the light is hanging all stupid looking and they probably won't be coming back and they have my instructions.

I'm livid. I want to scream
And the light is so wrong it makes me sick to look at it.

I don't like the fall down statement like the box wasn't secure or something??

Re: Installing new chandelier

Well, I agree with that. I still say that it can be remedied. Either one of us could probably fix it. I've hung many ceiling fan/lights & never had any of them fall. I guess that we have to wait for Rebecca to respond. I have more questions such as where did you find them?

Re: Installing new chandelier

I would also encourage your to remain calm and find a competent person to do this task.. Hanging a chandelier is a pretty standard chore, instructions or no instructions.

If you think you need the instructions assemble the fixture or to hang the crystals, you can probably get another copy at the place where you purchased the chandelier. Might even be able to find them online.
