So the mulitple colored wires are from the fan. I misundersood. Sorry. I thought they were wires in the switch box or in the ceiling box. I will have to exit this conversation. I have no knowledge of fans such as this.

I got it running full speed direct wired to the switch - need to look into getting a new remote because the Lutron system shorted out the module and the switch. Thanks to all for the help - invaluable.
