How'd I do?

Room with one switch which controlled an outlet, and no ceiling fan. I installed an additional switch for the ceiling fan, ran new wire up through the wall and out of the ceiling, and installed the new fan.

Everything worked...just making sure I did it right!!!??? Whattya think?

Was this switched receptale is wired oringally ?
If so the drawaing is correct as long you break the tabs between the brass screws.

Did you have the oringal power comming in at the switch box first ? if so that is proper but if other way around then it will be tricky to deal with it.

Merci,.

The recepticle was wired originally; but only for the outlet.

I added the new line to the fan by hooking the black line into the new switch along with another black line from the new switch to the power bunch. I also added the fan neutral to the neutral bunch, and the same with the ground.
I labeled the below "New" of what I added to the original setup of just the single outlet switch.
