How do I properly ground this service panel (pics)

An inspector said, in passing, that I needed the 8ft ground rod. I will do that. I just have no idea how or where to connect it to the service panel.

Also, I ran a copper line over to the box but didnt contact it with the actual neutral bar. I just clamped it in with a knockout. That was before I knew anything.

Anyways, when I touch one of the current lines and the box itself, my tester indicates 120v, or, from what I hear, that that means the box is actually grounded.

I also must have completely missed installing the bonding jumper. I am assuming the new homeline box came with it

actual box > https://www.schneider-electric.us/en...C-combo%2C-vp/

I basically have two main questions

1- Where do I attach the copper wire Ill run from the ground rod I'll install outside while adhering to NEC specs/code, and

2- Was I accurate with copper grounding wire on the right, and if not, should that continue on to somewhere on the neutral/ground bar

The ground/neutral buss bar usually has a larger opening for the ground rod conductor.

Usually at the top or the bottom. I believe yours is at the top.

The wire from the ground rod connects to the neutral/grounding bar. So does any other grounds.

Every inspector I know will fail having more than an inch of the outside sheath of the romex inside the panel. It's flammable and a fire hazard.

I think I know where its at. You can barely see where it may be in the pictures. Off center to the right at the very top. That MIGHT be it.

There's a lug next to the neutral that will work. Is that wire going to the main breaker 2/0 aluminum ?

It is aluminum. The size, I do not know. I looked on the line and no numbers are visible.

The bond screw location is shown on the panel label.

Is there a main breaker/disconnect ahead of this panel? The ground wire (grounding electrode conductor) goes to the 1st means of disconnect. If this panel is directly feed from the meter, you need a main breaker on this panel.

My fault, I now see the main breaker (barely). The NEC and the city where I am require 2 ground rods several feet apart either 6 or 8 feet. Also, you need to ground the water piping if it is metal.
