Hole Sealant

What do you guys use to seal up holes from electric wires running from outside in or from the basement or crawlspace in - my friend used to use a substance that he referred to as "C-4" but I never knew what is was - its a putty like substance that hardens over time and keeps critters out.

Thanks in advance.

That product is called duct seal. I use that or silicone caulk or fast setting masonry patch. Or combinations. Depend on the circumstance.
