Does the channel (also called a raceway) coming out of the top of the switch box have a full length snap-off trim strip (what is seen in the picture)? This would make it easy to add a neutral.

Stick to your lawn watering schedule until it really starts to pour. After the storm you have only the same number of rest days you always had and then you need to start watering again.
