Heated Ceiling fan

Hey guys I am sure you have seen the new ceiling fans with built in heaters. I am curious what type of wiring I would need to put one in my downstairs room. I currently have 12/3 wire running up to the light then it feeds the 4 outlets it has in that room. Will this be sufficient to run one of these heated fans. Thanks

What is the wattage of the heater, and what do the instructions say about a dedicated circuit?

NO, I have not seen these anywhere. First thought hit me also: The wattage of the heater itself, regardless of the fan unit. I'm thinking some ceiling fan company has come up with a ceiling fan unit with built-in heater, and has not given any thought as to how few homes would have a dedicated circuit for any or all ceiling fans. As in your case, one circuit feeding the ceiling fan, and then four (4) duplex outlets in one room: Take the wattage of the heater, figure out the amps, add the four (4) outlets amperage into this and what would you have? Then see what size amperage breaker is feeding this circuit. Surely (maybe) the manufacturer has inserted a disclaimer with these units about the proper electrical circuit to feed these units.

I have see them before couple time and they are rated at 900 or 1500 watts one of the two and I know few fan manufacters have this feature.

And I did check on fan manucater and it did mention almost 1500 watts at max setting.

so that something you will have to check little closer on this circuit otherwise IMO it will be best to run it own circuit.
