Hey again stubbie. I believe the 30 amp breaker gave out. I replaced it with an extra one i had and the voltage read fine. 220 between hots and 110 between hot and neutral. Washer and dryer still not working though so i think it may be an actual problem with the appliance itself. Washer does not seem to work at all and dryer only works when the washer is set to a certain setting for some reason. Maybe the lack of correct flow with the #14 burned something out.... any ideas? if not thank you so much for all the help you provided.

Has anybody been fooling with the wires that connect to the terminal block of the appliance? Or any other place?

Just to let you know.... a 4 wire dryer circuit (H-H-N-Grd) is required to be code compliant in your particular situation, I'm not sure if that is what you did if you bought 10/3 G and kept the 10-30R. You need a 14-30R and a change at the dryer/washer terminal block as mentioned earlier. This has nothing to do with your problem however. assuming that everything is wired correctly. Did this dryer /washer work before you moved it to the new location?
