Do I need to bond this pipe?

I am remodeling my bathroom. All the piping in my house is currently copper. I am going to redo the bathroom in Pex, except the pipe between the shower valve and shower head. Does this pipe need to be "jumpered" to the copper piping in the rest of my house? If so, what size wire?

Code wise it would not be required but there is nothing wrong with bonding any metal in the house to everything else in the house. If something should happen, it would allow the various metal parts to be at an equal potential and therefore, no shocks.

If you have the wall open, I would go ahead and bond it.

#6 copper wire and proper water pipe clamps.
