Question

Disconnect a phone jack in an inaccessible room

What would you recommend as the best way of disconnecting a jack in the wall of a room that is inaccessible? The rest of the jacks in the house must remain functional.

What is the best way to find the necessary wire to cut off, and where is it likely to be?

I don't know why you would want to put yoursself in the middle of a landlord tenant dispute.

This would depend if the phones lines are daisy chained together or all home runs. If they are daisy chained then find the jack before and after the one you cant get to. Disconnect both sides then run a wire between the jack before and after. So what was A----->B---->C becomes A---->C.

If they are home runs, then tone out the known lines and disconnect the unknown ones.
