dimmer swtch

I have a dimmer switch that has two power wires and a ground. I got it to replace a old one however the old one had no ground, just two power wires. What are my options fo instaling a dimmer for this light? the electric box that it goes in has no ground.

Connect the 2 hot wires and tuck the ground back into the box.

And to avioid some fireworks, he means connect the 2 wires to the switch, not to each other.

I would would bond it to the box with a 10/32 screw into the holes in the back.
