DC motor

I was wondering what you can power with a DC motor.(the DC motor is being used as the generator) I know you can charge a battery with it but can you power anything else straight from the motor. The DC motor is being powered from hydroelectricity so I got all of that done. thanks

Depends on the voltage. I suppose if you are charging a battery then it must be 12 volts. You can power anything that runs on 12 volts DC like items in your car. You could also power an inverter and make 120 volts. But why would you drive a DC generator off AC Hydro electricity and then convert it back to AC power. Some laptops or portable computer games and Cell phones might have DC inputs.

If it has enough current output you might be able to use it as a welder.
