Ceiling Fans

Just finished installing two ceiling fans. One works great the other not so great. The Fan works fine but when I turn on the light it hesitates about a second or two before it comes on. I have double checked all of the wiring and can't find anything wrong. Could this have anything to do with the wattage limiting device in the light kit? If not, any suggestions?

We had a ceiling fan in our last house that would hesitate about 1 full second from flipping the switch to lighting up, however I was using a CFL bulb. Are you using the same bulb(s) in each of the fans? If so then I'm not sure.

If you're using regular incandescent bulbs, not CFL, it's almost definitely the wattage limiter. I just hung a brand new Westinghouse fan a couple months ago, and it has the same slight hesitation. I believe the wattage limiter takes a brief moment to measure the wattage of the installed bulbs.

Thanks

I'm using the bulbs that were supplied with the fan. I'll check to see what kind they are but I would hope that the manufacturer would include the correct type.
