22AWG Type CM

it has 22AWG type CM written on the wires. This is not CAT5, since those are already running on blue wires and connected to data-in.

i think these may be security wires. Wonder where the ends go. ANy guesses?

That might be a safe bet. If it is alarm wiring, and you can't follow the wire through an attic or basement, it could be hard to find the other ends. If sensors were installed, you might be able to see them embedded in door and window jambs. If no sensors were installed, the ends could well have been left coiled up inside the walls above or below the doors and windows.

I own a tone signal generator and tracer that is used for tracing wire.
You can buy these at building centers and other suppliers, such as electrical material outlets.

The generator has leads with alligator clips that you connect to one end of a cable.
The tracer is about the size and shape of a banana and has a probe at one end and a speaker at the other end.
With the tone generator turned on, the signal can be picked up from the cable, anywhere along its route.
The end of the cable is where the tone stops.
