can lights outside


I am going to put a couple can lights in the soffit above my garage door.
Do they have to be a special kind. I have some from when I put them in my living room. Thanks

Just make sure that they are listed as acceptable for wet locations and you are fine.
Under a soffit may apply as a damp location (one step down) but I always err on the side of safety.

Also,make sure the trim rings you use have a glass lens.
