No. Cat-5 can still be found in some places. It is capable of maxing out at 100mb/s. Cat-5e will do up to 10gb/s at 30 meters. 1gb/s up to 100 meters. People commonly call Cat-5e as Cat-5. Because it is easier to state.
What the OP has, is Cat-3 in that box.
