California law & 220v outlet install

Hi..I have alittle dilemma I am trying to work out..

I have a brand spankin new 220v cabinet table saw I need to hook up. I plan on putting it in an attached 2nd garage, which is located about 75' from the main electrical panel off the ouside of the main garage. I am going to run conduit out to this garage for the 220. It's a pretty straight foward run ( I just have to drill through 2 stucco walls...bleah) I do have to run the outside length of conduit under a flower bed, because putting galvanized conduit up on the wall and running that way isn't going to asthetically fly with me, or more importantly, my wife!

So my question is what sort of codes am i lookign at that I need to meet? Do I need an inspection?

TIA!

Why are you using galvanized steel? Why not use PVC?
