Bringing Hydro from road to a shed

I'm hoping someone can please help with this question. I am developing an acreage property on one of the gulf islands in British Columbia. There is hydro at the road and I have had a path to a clearing excavated to bring the power in to a shed that would house the power and then eventually feed it to the house once built. I am wondering if there are any specifics that anyone is aware of in terms of requirements for a shed. Any codes that it needs to meet? Everyone seems to have these power sheds but internet information on requirements seems non-existent. I appreciate any advice I can be given in this matter. Thanks in advance.
