I have a 200 amp outdoor boxunder meter and am now going to install a 200 amp indoors with all the breakers. I have two locations in mind. one would have a dryer in front of panel the other is straight up on the second floor. Are either or both okay
Are you still going to have an outside disconnect?
What room would it be in on the second floor?
I've seen long debates about putting a dryer in front of the electrical panel. When you are making an installation, you never know where a homeowner is going to move their stuff later down the road :whistling2:
outside panel is build into the meter and only hold a few breakers, the big one of course is the main shut off. I have a garage on a sub panel. The house is small but need the 200 amp so either it goes upstairs or a few fee up a wall with plumbing in it??

Ok, so you are going to have the main disconnect outside still, correct? If so, you can run a cable thru the basement and put the panel where ever you want.
