Re: Bathroom has power, but outlets are off--how?

I vote for looking for another GFCI receptacle somewhere else that you do not know exists yet. I have found GFCIs in people's homes where they lived for over 10 years and did not know they had one where I have found them.

A very obvious place would be right next to the panel. I have seen GFCIs installed next to the panel that is wired to protect the bathroom upstairs and outdoor receptacles.

If you have a deck or bushes look under the deck or behind all the bushes.

And be double sure since you just moved in that there is not another sub panel somewhere in the house that may have a tripped breaker.

New home, about 6 months old, and client called to say their washing machine and internet (in cabinet above washer) was not operating. They explained they had a storm the other night and the washer quit working mid cycle.
RIGHT NEXT to the panel was a GFCI which had tripped. Easiest service call I ever made. Walk in, look, push button, leave, send bill.
