Amp service

What is the appropriate ampage for a 1900SF home here in Florida?

The service size would depend on the electrical loads to be served. To calculate this you would perform a demand load calculation. A home with hot tubs, pool heaters and large A/C units will need a larger service than a well insulated home without those types of loads.

You can look on your main breaker handle to see what size you already have.
