Aiphone JK-DV

I'm about to install an Aiphone JK-DV and wanted to know if someone out there has ever installed one. The instructions state to install the camera at 4'3 or 5' height. Has anyone installed one of these, seem to be kind of high for a door bell intercom?? Thanks

the unit has a camera in it, yes? If you mount it too low, you will not be able to see the person at your door. While it appears it is adjustable to some extent, apparently the manufacturer has determined that height is the most useful.

another point: it also has an intercom. It is typical to position an intercom closer to where one's mouth would be. The person needs to be able to speak into the unit and hear the unit.

Nice, that makes sense. But I'm 6 feet tall, what happens to the person that's shorter? Is there an average height for Americans?
