Well, after checking with 3 of my neighbors who have hot tubs, none did or had anything done to their patios when they had their hot tubs installed. Obviously, this means nothing, since we could all be fried in the near future. Therefore I have contacted an electrician who specializes in hot tub installations to straighten this out and make sure I am not putting myself or others in jeopardy. Looks like it wasn't such a DIY project after all.......

In places like Delaware, homeowners are forbidden to install hot tubs.

You are required to hire a licensed electrician.

Since you are putting the tub on the same space as the pool, and it is possibly within the equipotential pool grid, you may have corrected this without even knowing? It may be compliant in it's new location. Maybe! Let us know what the electrician says.
