Accessing Wire in Ceiling that has no Access

I have a vaulted ceiling in my kitchen and I want to redo the lighting. I want to add a new light fixture, which means running wires. I do not have access in the space above the ceiling. How can you run wires to the new fixtures without destroying the ceiling drywall? Are there any tips or tricks, such as using a wire puller?

Thanks for the help!

You are going to have to cut holes in the ceiling.
You may be able to get away with small ones, at several locations to get the wire where it is needed.

Any chance they didn't staple the existing wire and you could use that as a pull string?

If not there are ways, we use a magnetic puller in tight spaces like that...example: http://mccartenco.net/product.php?productid=1187
