I would never wire it like that. I was just resopnding to the OP. I find it very common for DIYs to attampt this. It works fine with one fixture, and they think adding more fixtures is easy. Usually the result is dim lights because they have them all wired in series with 14/3. Remove one bulb and they all go out.
Four wire cable is not comon in Canada either.

If you are thinking you need 4 wire cable and need to do restringing anyway, then do this instead. Run a brand new 3 wire cable "nonstop" from one switch to the other, going around the outside of the various light boxes if you have to follow that route.

In the diagram above showing the various light boxes, power came to the first light box. Run a 2 wire cable from there to the first switch. Up at the light box connect the black wire of this cable to the wire (black or red) serving (or which should serve) all the fixture blacks. Connect the other wire to the power black.

In the switch boxes use the red and white wires of your new 3 wire cable for the travelers. Connect the black of your new 3 wire cable to the black going up to the light box at switch box number 1 (left side). Finish by connecting the remaining loose wires to the respective switch common terminals.

For those white wires connected to a non-white wire or connected to a switch terminal, mark both ends with black (or red) tape or stain.

Do not add or connect any wires from the last light box to the second switch (right side).
