200 amp panel with a 100 amp service

A brand new manufacture home (800 Sq Ft) came with a 200 amp panel with the whole house wire and using 6 spaces. What would be the best way to run service. I was thinking a meter to a 100 amp disconect to the 200 panel inside home.

What do you mean a 'brand new manufactured home came" ?

Did UPS deliver it or what???

Have you met with the power company and local electrical code department for the city or county to determine their requirements?

As long as the calculated connected loads do not exceed 100 Amps, connecting a 100 Amp feeder to a 200 Amp panel is acceptable.

Many mobile homes with gas range, heat, etc. can be connected with a 100 Amp feeder, even if the load center is rated for 200 Amps.

You will need a 100 Amp breaker in the outside disconnect box, however.
