Re: What is a reasonable indoor temp for hot weather?

The set "coolness" of your home seems to have to do with the climate where you live.

Maybe if your winters are colder, you grow to like the cold? Lenaitch said that at one time. He couldn't stand the heat in other places.

We were brought up to try to adjust our bodies to the season. It does work. But, if the temperature differences are greater between Winter & Summer, it might not be practical?

Our AC is set at 78. We run the ceiling fans as needed, there is one in every room.

It never reaches 100 here.

I keep mine at 75F.
I keep the blinds closed as well.
I don't have a humidifier but it might be a consideration for you.

Pull a container from your 40 refrigerator and see if dew forms on it. A glass jar like a pickle jar works well.

I set mine at 75 year round. If it gets too chilly in the winter for the wife, I throw her a blanket, and say, "Suck it up Buttercup"
