HRV duct sizing

Installing 4 separate Venmar Kubix K8 HRV in a fourplex that is slab on grade with infloor heat. My question is I was advised to put 6 inch intake and exhaust insulated pipes to machine from outside but put 4 inch supply and return lines to it throughout the attic(because of slab)... all insulated of course... Will that off balance the unit? Will obviously quiet the outside vents side... they are 900sqft units so no long runs needed. And on a second note, would burying them in 18 inch of cellulose be an issue or hang them all?

Re: HRV duct sizing

All the ducts should be 4", as that is the port size of the unit.

The unit is not designed to be installed in an attic. It is to be in an area that stays between 50F and 104F.

Remember, the units have an air filter that needs cleaned on a regular schedule.

Thanks, for reply, the exhaust side has a 4-5" adapter but the return supply side has 4 inch. It is going in the laundry room of each unit with top mount option to hang up high to ceiling. I was just confused when they said use 6" to outside and 4 inch for everything else... It'd not my usual to hook up but hvac guys are so busy and im ready... thought id save myself some money on what appears to not be a hard install.
