How to fix disconnected ductwork?


Hello- Can somebody please tell me how to fix the pictured disconnected vertical ductwork? I'd be grateful.

It's not disconnected. It's an expansion joint.

If you feel a bit of air leakage there, that is normal. Should only be a bit though.

There should be a vinyl collar between the two metal duct ends if it's a flex/expansion joint.
