AC tripping breaker inside the unit

We are having problems with the breaker inside our package unit, tripping the breaker INSIDE the unit. In Fla., you cant be without it, and it gets so hot so quickly. We hit the breaker again and it goes back on. Had a tech out last evening and said it was the gas inside building up, so he let some out. It has now tripped again. Anyone have a clue about this? We had the unit cleaned about a month ago, and dont know if it is freezing up, because we never know when it has tripped until it is tooooo hot.

Sorry. You had a poor tech.

Is anybody turning the thermostat temp up and down?

Sounds like its tripping the breaker when it tries to restart. May need a hard start kit.

Has anybody added refrigerant to it recently, like maybe this spring?
