Question

AC System Size

I have an old home Central AC. The decal on the side of the outside unit is faded so I cannot read it at all. I can however read the decal on the compressor itself. If the actual compressor is a 2 ton unit, does that mean that the system is a 2 ton system?

Probably.

What's the exact model number and make of the compressor.

Sometimes you'll be able to read the model number off the faded label when shining light at shallow angle.

Cheers!

Re: AC System Size

Yeah it'll be rated at 2 tons.

It'll do 2.75 tons at 100*f condensing. It's a decent compressor.

Cheers!
