Will low pressure from a valve cause

Water leakage around the head, causing it not to pop all the way or spray well?

More then likely you have something inside the head that needs to be cleaned out. Sometimes if you just step on the head a few times while it is on it will correct itself.

It's a new head and line has been flushed prior to installing 7 new rain birds.

Doing irrigation on a golf course for many years we would usually just have to take it apart clean everything and put it back together. If the head dose not come all the way up it will not seal and that is what is causing the water to leak around the head.

I'm sorry but to answer your question yes it can. The water pressure has to overcome the spring inside to come all the way up. This is why most irrigation systems are done on a loop instead of a dead end line.

Now to find them, we have no clue as to where they are!

we rented one of those high end devices from a sprinkler shop, found them in no time!

Took the offending one apart and found nothing? I guess the diaphragm can look good and the solenoid make noise, but still be bad.

Going to buy an additional valve and do a transplant and see what happens.

We have 60 pounds of city water pressure at the spigot where it enters the house.
