Where can you get real grass that doesn't need mowing


I have been reading online that you can get real grass that does not require mowing. What is a good type to get and where can I get it ?

I've heard there are varieties of tall fescue that stop growing around 4" tall but you can't grow that grass up here so I have no first-hand knowledge.

All real grass does not need mowing, just does't look too good when it is two feet tall.


Really, they make grasses that grow slower, but there is no magic bullet. Seed companies most likely have the technology to develop such a grass but it would have a significant negative impact on the economy.
