Re: weed killer

Google natural weed killer. There are a million hits. Otherwise, use ammonia & water.

Re: weed killer

Going to have to make a decision, do I want to kill the weeds for a year, or have to go back time and time again to do it over again.
Never heard of using lemon juice.
Most DIY recipes call for using table salt which is often in most weed killers.
Most DIY recipes will knock them back for a while but does not kill the roots so they come right back.
There's some cool videos on Youtube about this subject, check it out.
The stuff I use is 45% active ingredient, compare that to any Round Up product.
There selling people water.
Most of my customers have pets, once it drys it's not an issue.

Re: weed killer

Home made weed killer I made. It's a pusher/puller style. If I tire of pushing I can pull awhile. Adjustable and ergonomic angle to fit operator and never rust stainless. Environmentally and pet safe plus you can drop the gym membership. It is one thing that doesn't get better with age as I believe it worked better about 25 years ago when I made it.

Re: weed killer

Find, buy and follow the directions on Crossbow or a generic version. It is approved for use on grazing land for dairy cows when applied as directed.

One chemical at different concentrations does everything from broadleaf control to total kill of poison ivy and stump treatment.

Re: weed killer

Did ya'll know that Lowes now carries a hand held pump sprayer designed specifically for spraying bleach ? We bought one. But for the record, I just bought it to spray my old dirty clothes with bleach as a pre-wash.

Re: weed killer

Try " 7 Deadly homemade weed killers. This garden is illegal." I think it's a blog but sounds good. I want to try the corn gluten meal. Sorry, can't do a link on this phone.

Corn gluten works well. But it does not kill weeds, it is a pre-emergent. Up here, commonly used to keep crab grass seeds from germinating in the spring.

Have you considered No-Wash underwear. Yellow in front - Brown in back.

Re: weed killer

Well, since SS has not replied, here is the reason I stated above about how I was going to use my bleach pump sprayer. Much like when someone asks a poster on the internet about how many firearms they own, they get the standard reply,
" Every gun I had, sank in a boating accident"...

Much the same way that I am going to think twice before I post on the internet, that I am going to use bleach on my weeds... since I noticed this yesterday.

Re: weed killer

A recipe I have says 1 gallon of vinegar mixed with 2 cups table salt. It is supposed to kill everything and supposedly nothing will grow again. I did this in between concrete patio slabs where weeds were growing. I just sprinkled salt and then sprayed vinegar. Heavy on everything, dead in less than 24 hours and has not come back.
