Water pooling beside patio

Had a patio install two years ago. I know we have had a very wet spring and the ground is totally saturated. After a heavy rainfall, there is about 2 inches of water pooling beside the patio and along fence.

There is only a 6 inch gap (or less) between edge of patio and fence. Not much room for drainage although I do have small stones there but it is overflowing on top of them. I don't think there is enough room for a French drain. What else can I put there?

It's very difficult to see the water. It's easier to just see the reflection in the water under the fence

Re: Water pooling beside patio

Ideally, the contractor should have built a drainage system in there to take the water away.

See if they have a satisfaction warranty, and make them repair this hazard.

Otherwise, have a drain put in to channel the water to a lowlands, or the storm drainage system in your community.
