Underground drainage pipe -- glue?

Replacing old black flex-corrugated drainage pipe, starting to silt up, with 4" white rigid dripped pipe (and landscape-fabric sleeves to prevent silting up again). Not a fun job. Anyway, is this stuff intended to be press-fit or glued? I replumbed the whole house, w/PVC or CPVC where appropriate, so I'm familiar with gluing the joints; however, is it the "correct" installation?

Right or wrong I prime and glue landscape drainage pipe.

Instead of the sock, I've had good success lining the trench with filter fabric. Put in a few inches of a drainage stone, lay pipe, add more stone to cover pipe, fold fabric closed, then back fill trench.

If you live in an area where ground movement is a concern, I wouldn't glue the joints, the bells will crack.

Those are both good responses. It seems I have a judgment call to make.
