TruFuel ?

I recently had my edger and blower serviced. Turns out the fuel was bad.

I use fuel stabilizer but was told by the serviceman that stabilizers aren't all they say they are. They don't really stabilize the fuel. Not sure if that is correct.

I was thinking about getting some TruFuel. But man it's expensive. I then thought, what if I mix the TruFuel with regular gas, say 50/50. I wonder if that would help.

Just throwing it out there for discussion.

Re: TruFuel ?

IMO it's best to run the engine out of gas before you store it for a season.

Re: TruFuel ?

The trufuel sold in the stores is rip off priced. Find a service station in your area https://www.pure-gas.org/ that sells no e gas and and you have true fuel. It is about twice the price of regular e-gas.

Re: TruFuel ?

Here they sell non ethanol gas for about ten cents more a gallon than the ethanol mixed crap.

I spend the dime more, on all my gasoline.

And running the mower, weed eater, trimmer, blower, chain saw, every other small engine powered device out of gas, prevents the gas from " varnishing" the works up.

I wish I could find non-eth gas around here. It's nowhere to found in South Florida.

Re: TruFuel ?

I know locally there is a website that lists all the stations that sell non ethanol gas in the region so that might be something to check out.

Our stations that sell non ethanol charge more than 10 cents extra, probably closer to 25 cents BUT I only use it in my small engines and they don't drink that much.

Cool. Thanks for the link to e-free gas. I didn't know there was a place close to me.
