Someone please tell me what kind of wood this is

Hi all, I'm not sure if I should post this here or in Carpentry so I'm sorry if I did it wrong.
Anyway, I'm planning to build a planter box thingy for my bamboo. It's going to be 13'l x 2.5'w x 2.5'd. I've tried every keyword I could think of but I just can't figure out what type of wood was used here("high quality wood plank", "smooth fence board", "glossy fence board", etc etc). I tried looking at composite decking material but nothing that looks like it. These boards in the picture look very smooth and glossy.
Could someone please help me out? I don't know anything about wood so I would really really appreciate if you can give me as many details as possible.

Thank you!

Looks like redwood or cedar to me.
It's glossy because someone sealed it with something.

The first picture box is pine; second looks like stained pine; perhaps cedar or redwood for the last two; too far away.

agreed and they are glossy because they have some kind of coating on them, poly, varnish or something

The first one looks like western cedar, the second looks like redwood but the boxes I don't know. The third one looks like teak but probably isn't, and the last one looks like yellow cedar. JMHO
