I'd like to replace the solar powered 4x4 post cap lamp at our front door.
At the front door we have an L of low fence. The corner of the L is on a 4x4 post capped with a solar recharge light. I'd like to remove all the fence, 8' one way & 10' the other but still have a light there.
Our front door is in the middle of the south side of the house so if I wanted 120 AC I'd need to have a 20+ run of cable. Whereas a solar recharge fixture needs none.
Looked at local Lowe's and Home Depot - zip. Apparently they've fallen out of favor (?). I can guess why - solar power.
Anybody got a recommendation for an Outdoor, solar power Li-Ion recharge, LED Lamp in a post-mount?
Looked a long time ago but expect they should be better today. If there has been a problem I would suspect it to be the battery rather than the solar panel. But in both cases it is probably a case of the mgf going cheap to keep the list price down.
