Slope for stormwater drain 4"

What slope do you guys use for 4" pvc pipe stormwater drains? Is 1" per 10 ft not enough? I usually just add a piece of scrap wood to the bottom of my 4 ft level and go that route. If I put a piece of 1/2" wood, I would be looking at 1 1/4 drop over 10 ft. If I do 3/4 wood at one end of the level, I'm looking at 1 7/8" over 10 ft.

Any off that will work, there is a formula for moving sand and stuff with the water, not sure how that works.

"According to the International Plumbing Code, drainage pipes should be run with a uniform slope at the following minimum pitches:"

PIPE DIAMETER MINIMUM SLOPE
2 1/2" or smaller 1/4" per foot
3" to 6" 1/8" per foot
8" or larger 1/16" per foot
